PERSON STATS

  COGAN, Barry
Born In Sligo On 04/11/1984  Ireland
Player

Irish midfielder who signed for Barnet able to boast of European experience and even an appearance in an FA Cup Final.

Barry signed from Millwall for an undisclosed fee in August 2006 and made his debut a few days later in the 2-1 defeat away to Accrington Stanley. He made the right wing spot his own for the 2006/07 season, but never really made his mark at Barnet. His performances were simply very average, he wasnt a bad player, but he rarely caught the eye. His best moment in a Bees shirt was his stunning late strike, on his birthday, to give Barnet a 1-0 win at Hartlepool in November 2006.

At the end of the season, his contract expired and League One Gillingham offered him a deal. He spent one season with the Gills, before being released after their relegation. Towards the end of his spell with Gillingham hed played on loan at Grays Athletic and this was to be his next permanent club, for the 2008/09 season. However, he left them at the end of the campaign due to their financial problems and signed for Crawley Town in June 2009.
