GRAHAM,
Richard
Born In Newry On
05/08/1979
Northern Ireland
Player
Tricky Dicky as he was affectionately known signed for Barnet in July 2004 on a free transfer from Kettering Town.
There were a few sceptics initially about Tricky, until they saw him play. Graham had an explosive first season with Barnet, producing some sensational performances on the left wing as the Bees tore the Conference apart; Tricky gave many a right back a nightmare.
It was expected he would take League Two by storm in just the same way after promotion, but it was never to be. Hed never looked the quickest in the Conference, but his lack of pace and slight build gave him little chance in League Two. A string of injuries didnt help matters either, but he just didnt look the same player. Surprisingly he stayed with Barnet until the end of the 2006/07 season, but he left a different player to the exciting one the fans had loved so much during 2004/05.
He signed for Dagenham & Redbridge shortly after leaving Barnet, but failed to make a real impact there, ending up on loan at old club Kettering during the 2008/09 season, before leaving Daggers at the end of it. In the summer of 2009, whilst without a club, Ian Hendon let him train with Barnet again, but made it clear he was not going to offer him a contract. After his training spell with the Bees, he joined Grays Athletic, where he will be hoping to re-capture the form that dazzled us all a few years ago.
