ROACHE,
Lee

Player
Lee Roache was one of a number of PROTEC graduates to sign terms with Barnet in the summer of 2003.
He was involved in the first team squad that pre-season and looked highly impressive against some strong opposition. However, his involvement in the first team during the season was limited. The following year however, Roache was frequently involved in the squad that won the Conference, chipping in with some big goals too, such as ones at home to Leigh RMI in the last minute or the only goal in a 1-0 win at home to Scarborough, just after Christmas 2004.
After a good season as an impact player from the bench and cover for the main strikers, the youngster was retained as Barnet made their assault on the football league. He proved his worth, getting on the score sheet at Bristol City in the famous 4-2 Carling Cup win in late August. However, he saw his chances very much restricted as the season went on and he was loaned out to Wealdstone. He got recalled due to injuries and hit a goal in the defeat at Boston United in April, but this proved to be his only League Two strike for the club, as he was released at the end of the season.
After leaving Barnet, Lee signed for Cambridge City, who he stayed with until January 2009, when he was given another chance at Blue Square Premier level, by Histon. Roache featured 12 times for them in the second half of the season, but failed to score, or secure a new deal. He began the 2009/10 season with Braintree Town.
