PERSON STATS

  TOWNSEND, Michael
Born In Walsall On 17/05/1986  England
Player

Big centre back who had a loan spell with Barnet during the 2008/09 season.

Michael signed on loan from Cheltenham in October 2008 and became a mainstay in the Bees defence until his return to Whaddon Road in January 2009. Despite turning in a number of good displays, he was in the side during the worst spell of the season, where Barnet chalked up just one league win between October and February.

Townsend returned to Cheltenham and managed to force his way back into the plans of Robins boss Martin Allen, getting himself back into the side where he remained as the 2009/10 season began.
