DEVERDICS, Nicky Born In Newcastle On 24/12/1987  England Joined On 24/07/2008 Player Theres quite a lot of promise here, but maybe not quite the delivery we should be seeing. Yet, anyway. Signed on the eve of the 2007/08 season from Gretna after they went into liquidation, Geordie boy Nicky was hyped up to be a big coup. His form was good, but nothing too sensational in his first season. At times he did look a class above, but does have a tendancy to fade out of some games. Needs to add to his goals tally, but his work rate cant be faulted and he can pick a pass as well as most midfielders at this level. So far under Ian Hendon he has to be patient this season, with Hyde and Hughes currently holding the two central midfield roles.
