PERSON STATS

  REDMILE, Matt
Born In Nottingham On 12/11/1976  England
Player

An absolute monster who had a fairly short spell with Barnet, in the second half of the 2003/04 season.

Joined from Scarborough, shortly after playing for them against Chelsea in the FA Cup 4th Round.  Made his Barnet debut away to Aldershot in a televised game and popped up with a goal, heading in a corner in the first half.

Featured a total of 13 times for the club, but the number of Man of the Match awards he got in that time were high. He did well, despite clearly being well overweight. Apparently this had held him back earlier in his career, when he failed a medical at Chelsea after they tried to sign him from Notts County.

Post-Barnet he initially moved to Tamworth and memorably scored for them in a 1-0 win at home to Carlisle, the season we pissed the Conference, that day we went well clear and his name was being sung by the Bees fans again. After Tamworth, he dropped down the pyramid and was last seen playing for Goole Town.
