PERSON STATS

  GAMBLE, Joe
Born In Cork On 14/01/1982  Ireland
Player

Joe spent a season on loan with Barnet, from Reading, in 2003/04.

The central midfielder joined initially for three months, but after making a good start his deal was extended until the end of the campaign, in which Joe was nearly ever present. The hard working midfielder was popular with the Underhill crowd and looked a talented player who may have had a bright future at Reading.

It wasnt to be for Gamble, though. When he left Barnet at the end of the season, he moved from Reading back to Ireland, joining Cork City. In the end, its a move that has worked out well for the player, whose still with Cork City today. During his time in Ireland, he has gained two full caps for the Republic of Ireland and in 2007 was the first Irish based player to start for the national side in twenty one years.
