HEALD, Greg Born In Enfield On 26/09/1971  England Joined On 01/08/1997 Player Left: 27/03/2003 Barnets record signing when he joined the Bees for £130,000 in 1997 and he still remains our biggest buy to this day. A proper no nonsense lower league centre back, who as captain led by example from the back. Or he did most of the time he was with us in the league, anyway. He used to pop up with the odd goal, but was better known for his defensive qualities. These did seem to fade somewhat following relegation to the Conference and by the time he left the club, it was probably right, to keep his generally good reputation in tact. Gregs departure from Barnet came in March 2003, after nearly six full years at the club. Leyton Orient signed him, Lee Harrison and Wayne Purser all on the same day. After his spell at Orient, Greg joined fellow League Two side Rochdale. He left them at the end of 2004/05 and went onto play for the following clubs in non-league before retiring: York City, Burton Albion, Ashton United, Aldershot Town and Thurrock. Upon his retirement, Greg briefly took over as youth coach at Wycombe Wanderers during the 2007/08 season.
