KING, Marlon Born On 26/04/1980  Jamaica Player A lowlife scumbag who is an example of the justice system possibly not always doing, er, justice. Marlon King is trouble, theres not much hiding that. Hes had nearly as many run ins with the police during his football career as hes scored goals. Twice serving prison sentences, the most recent one for battering a 20 year old girl in a London nightclub, because she turned down his advances and told him to stop touching her. What a smashing chap. As for his time at Barnet, things were at least a little more innocent then. He joined Barnet from Dulwich Hamlet as a youngster in 1998 and spent two years at the club, notching a number of goals, before being snapped up by Gillingham for £250,000 plus sell on clauses, in the summer of 2000. His finest hour in a Barnet shirt was probably his quick fire brace to seal a 2-1 away win at Peterborough when the Bees topped the Division 3 table during the first half of the 1999/00 season. On the pitch at least, his career did flourish after his time at Barnet. Hes played in every football league division along with the Premier League at clubs such as Nottingham Forest, Leeds United, Watford, Wigan, Coventry City and at the time of writing, Birmingham City.
