NIVEN, Stuart Born In Glasgow On 24/12/1978  Scotland Joined On 29/09/2000 Player Niven was a popular Scottish midfielder, who signed for Barnet from Ipswich Town in the Autumn of 2000. He scored on his starting debut in the opening minute of the 2-0 win at Carlisle United in October 2000. After this, Stuart established himself in the Bees side for much of the fateful relegation season. He remained with the club as they went down into the Conference and was very much part of the first team, earning cult status with the fans, whod shout HEED! every team he got the ball, or chant; Niven for Scotland! Despite his popularity, when new boss Peter Shreeves came in, he seemingly wasnt such a fan. In the 2002/03 season, Nivens chances were very restricted. He made his final appearance for Barnet at Potters Bar Town in November 2002, in the Herts Senior Cup, before being released a few weeks later. After Barnet, Stuart had a spell with Cambridge City, before heading back up North. Hes turned out for Tow Law Town and is reportedly now with Amgrove Northern League Division One side, Shildon.
