PERSON STATS

  FULLER, Barry
Born In Ashford On 25/09/1984  England
Player
2012-2013s Number 2

Only with the Bees for a brief spell in 2006, but was a popular figure during his time at the club.

Barry came on loan from Charlton in January 2006, with Barnet going through a terrible patch of form. He was one of a number of signings in that window and was certainly one of the most effective. His no nonsense attitude earned him many plaudits, he made one of the best saving tackles Ive ever seen at Underhill, on his home debut against Wycombe (0-0). He also added his name to the list of Barnet scorers, with a neat finish in the away game at Peterborough (2-2).

He left Barnet at the end of his loan in April 2006, before being released by Charlton that summer. We really should have signed him, but apparently we offered him far less than our near neighbours Stevenage Borough, who he signed for. Barry was a massive hit there, captaining the side to FA Trophy glory at Wembley, before following then Boro manager Mark Stimson to Gillingham. He has taken the captaincy there too, once again being a Wembley winner, this time in the League Two play-off final last May.
