  WALSH, Phil
Born In Hartlepool On 04/02/1984  England
Joined On 12/08/2010 Player

Phil Walsh is a big gangly striker who has an uncanny facial resemblance to Arsenals Russian striker, Andrei Arshavin.

Despite being a North East lad by birth, his career has been down South from the start. Beginning on the non-league scene in the South West of England at clubs such as Tiverton and Clevedon.

After spells at higher profile non-league clubs Bath City, Newport County and Dorchester City, he was given his big break in 2010, when football league side Dagenham & Redbridge signed him during their promotion season to League One. He featured a number of times in their run in, though failed to score.

His spell at Barnet came at the beginning of the 2010/11 season, signed on a months loan by Mark Stimson as cover for an injured Steve Kabba. Walsh played in a number of games in this spell, most notably scoring a brace in the 3-1 home win against Cheltenham Town the side he was to also spend time on loan with later in the season from Daggers.

At the time of writing, he is still at Dagenham, but not featuring in the first team.

Another interesting bit of trivia about him; his sister Kayte is married to Kelsey Grammer, star of the 90s TV sitcom Fraser. Hes about twenty years his senior. Hes a boy, isnt he?
